The LonelyCache Project needs a logo. I could spend thousands of dollars hiring a consultant but thought I'd see what we can come up with here first
I'm no good with graphics and don't have the tools so if anyone wants to throw something out, fantastic!
Here's some ideas I have:
- Cache box with a rattlesnake on it
- Mountains
- Geocacher(s) on mountain

I also like the mountains idea. Possibly include a hiker some were in the logo too.

And a 4x4?
Snowshoes? (ok, that's a stretch)

How about the mountain with a hiker on top and a 4X at the bottom?

I realize that pretty much all of us are in the mountain west, so we like mountains. However, I see this site eventually expanding out of the western US. While mountains are certainly a good icon for wilderness, is there something more generic?

That wouldn't be true for my 4x4!

How about something more navigational, like a compass rose or a generic excerpt from a Topo map?

Could make it a 4x4 partially buried half way up! As in pics I've seen of a certain Nevada cache.

I like the Topo map idea, maybe with a single geocache icon on it. Or how about a photo or graphic of somebody hiking alone in the woods?

How about including 4X4, dirt bike, mountain bike, hot air ballon (for our roping friends), hiker and muggle

. Since we all use different means of exploring I like the Topo scene possibly with a "Lonely" cache icon.

Here's an idea-pretty simple and could be changed....
not sure if the image thing works, so here's a link just in case...

With some personal follow up with what jcanyoneer posted, I threw together this:

Obviously it can be greatly improved but it's an idea. I think I'd like to modify so that the LCP forms a peak with the top the center of the P. jcanyoneer mentioned he'd like to see the L be a lake.

Personally like some version of a topo map best.

Sounds like an interesting concept; looking forward to seeing the next couple versions...

I have a web/graphic designer buddy who said he's willing to help out. He's in the middle of a house move at the moment but I'm looking forward to when we can get some of his bandwidth.
