Hi,

The site was updated this afternoon with the following changes:
  • LonelyCache benefactors (currently those who have gifted a Geocaching Premium Membership to a LonelyCache worker account) are now acknowledged when visiting a benefactor's page. Directly under the benefactor's Geocaching handle is, "is a LonelyCache benefactor." If the benefactor opted to remain anonymous, then the message is not shown. When a benefactor views his/her own page, the message is, "Thank you for being a LonelyCache Benefactor!"
  • The LonelyCache territory is broken up into a grid that is searched to find and update caches. Some sections of the grid contain what I have decided is too many caches. Now any section of the grid that contains more than the threshold number of caches (240) will be split into four sections.
  • When viewing a region on the RegionPage, the region is identified by a numeric Id. Updates were made to also identify the region by the state, state and county, or state and region. This change was made in anticipation of including maps of the LonelyCache regions.
  • For some reason, the geocaching.com authorization portion of the registration process stopped working. I believe this may have been due to some changes to the web server. An update was made that now allows the authorization process to work as expected.
  • There was a deficiency with a SQL statement to insert a geocache that might, on rare occasions, cause the geocache not to be inserted in the LonelyCache database. Proper error handling in that case was also missing. The SQL has been updated and error handling added.
  • If a worker account had no pocket queries to process, then any stale PQs were not being deleted from the LonelyCache database. Logic was updated to delete stale PQs whether or not any PQs needed to be processed.
Enjoy,
Russell
