LonelyCache

Hi,

This morning's release includes the following updates:

• Added sorting by Found Date and Points to a cacher's recent finds, top finds, and finds of another cacher's hides.
• Added sorting by Finder, Found Date, and Points to Recent Notable Finds.
• Added sorting by Miles, Points, Points/Mile to a cacher's most wanted list.
• Some site administration tools were added for more easily managing users, that is, editing user emails and resetting locked out users. Also, users that have been inactive for two years or more will automatically be deleted from the system.
• Added Wyoming counties and their polygon definitions. Note that the LonelyCache database was updated earlier this week but this is saving the database commands that actually adds them.

I have some concerns / mixed emotions about the inactive users being deleted from the system after 2 years... For instance, the best all around cacher in Juab County UT falls into his category..
He was tragically killed in an auto accident a couple years ago.. many of us enjoy seeing his stats and the fact he is still top dog in Juab after all this time has gone by..
in most cases the 2 year inactivity policy would be positive .. where we going to draw the line? Or maybe we could implement "Hall of Fame" for deceased members..

Dawg, I don't think that applies -- what the update means is that if that person had an account at LonelyCache.com, that account would be automatically deleted after 2 years of not logging into LonelyCache. His stats would remain in perpetuity until all his hides and finds are archived.

On a related note, there's a deceased Cache Valley cacher "rocketbob" with whom I would have worked side-by-side for the past 7 years if not for the fact that I was hired in June 2007 and he died in September 2006. (The car accident that killed him is the reason it is now illegal in Utah to text while driving.) Shortly before passing away, he had literally found every active cache in Cache County, Utah, except one. He still ranks very highly on the backcountry boards in that region and county.

Thanks for the clarification RSG.. I remember seeing "rocketbob's" name on many cache logs... RIP Bob.....
I guess we never dumped" deamcacher102's" bogus stats then... oh well! that was the positive....
