Hi,

I updated the site once again. This release contains the following updates:
  • Added Wyoming to the appropriate pages in the LonelyCache Knowledge Book.
  • Updated the RegionList page to include the State's name even if there are no Counties or DGP Regions in that state. Previously it would just say, "No Counties Found" or "No Regions Found". Now the state's name will appear above that line.
  • Fixed bug that may cause a new cache that as yet doesn't have any found logs retrieved to never be updated.
  • Modified how a cache's Location, County, and DGPRegion are maintained and kept up to date for new caches and when a cache's coordinates are modified. Previously this was a two step process, now it occurs when the cache is inserted into the database or when the cache is updated in the database.
  • Updated the mechanism that maps a geocache to the state, county, and DGP Region it is contained in. Previously, the mapping was computed for all geocaches once a day when the site leader boards and statistics were updated. Now it is done immediately following when a cache (or group of caches) is inserted into the database, or when its coordinates are changed.
  • Information about the various regions (LonelyCache wide, States, Counties, DGP Regions) such as number of caches, total points, and area that is displayed at the top of the Region Page and in the Region List page is cached in the server memory for performance reasons. This would cause the data to become stale over time as it would only be refreshed when the LonelyCache website was restarted by the server. You may have noticed this when Wyoming was first added as the Wyoming Region Page showed nothing at all for several hours after Wyoming caches were added. Well, now the region cache will expire after two hours and be reloaded/calculated on demand after expiry.
Enjoy,
Russell
