Caches are not classified as "backcountry." There are different leaderboards for the various cache types however, so that is really all the classification that occurs. Perhaps your real question is how a cacher's backcountry score computed. I covered that in detail in the Back Country Leader Boards
topic. There currently are lists of the loneliest caches. Basically, these are lists of caches with the highest scores.
