Thank you for the offer. Currently the site has four Geocaching.com accounts it is utilizing. All of those accounts have already been gifted a one year premium membership as discussed in We Have Keys! Now we need your help. Again, thank you.

A ton has happened since the last update and I'm really excited about what is happening with LonelyCache.

First I'd like to thank all 25 of you that are helping test. Your comments and feedback have been very helpful. You've identifed several issues that we've been able to resolve along with offering several suggestions for improvement. We haven't had time to act on all of those items yet, but we do have them listed as things to do. Please do continue offering your observations and comments. Redfist and I are aware of a lot of the things you bring up but your perspective on the site is different than ours and so it is very helpful for us to hear things from you.

Besides opening the site up to several of you for testing, a lot of other things have occurred since the last update:
  • The site database has now been completely updated and standard processing is now keeping it up to date.
  • First Day Finder leaderboards are now being generated.
  • Recent Activity/Point Growth leaderboards are now being generated.
  • The region page has been improved and now contains Backcountry Leaderboards and the First Day Finder leaderboard.
  • The point leaderboard and backcountry leaderboard pages have been improved.
  • Numerous other improvements to the site web pages have also been made.
Also, I'm pretty sure we have the site branding decided on. We have a mock up that I'm very excited about. My hope is that we will soon move from a mock up to implementation.

Again, thank you everyone for your support and patience. We're getting there!

What a wild and crazy ride it's been since my last update. We've been keeping it quiet, but our goal has been to get this beast set loose on International Geocaching Day, 2012. Well, if you don't know when that is, then let me just say, it's crazy soon, like this Saturday soon. :o Perhaps it's too soon, but we figured we had to put a stake in the ground and this is it. So if everything goes well, LonelyCache will be live sometime Saturday. If not, then sometime after the weekend.

So what's happened since my last update? Well, there's no way I can remember them all but here's a few:
  • Updated the menu to dynamically add/remove the Profile button whenever a user logs in/out.
  • Added First Day Finder leader board.
  • Added a link from User's login name to user's stats page.
  • Added a Top Finder's page for all cache owners.
  • We're very close to finishing adding leaderboards for both Counties and the DGP regions and expect these to be ready for launch.
  • We migrated the database from the test DB server to the production DB server. This ended up being a lot more work than anticipated but it was worth the effort as the site performance is much much faster now.
  • We received the graphics and color codes and layout for the site and are working to set up the site branding. Please see the image below of the Top Caches page. We'll tweek it some but it is very close. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Again, thank you for your interest and encouragement with this project. It's been a lot of work and without your support and enthusiasm we never would have reached this point. I will also add that this is just the start and we have lots of other things we want to add to enhance the site as we continue forward.

I also want to add that one of you has stepped up on his own initiative to create a Knowledge Book for LonelyCache! I think that is just fantastic and it is very much appreciated. I won't say who he is since he might want to stay anonymous but I do want to acknowledge him for volunteering. Thank you! :D
