I have seen instances in which a gang of as many as 17 cachers / teams go out, and perform a "plague of locusts" search for a cache. When it is found, all 17 sign up as FTF. I have no idea how LCP would choose just one.
I have also seen instances where a cacher goes out to hide a cache with 6 of his buddies. The buddies watch him hide the cache, then open it up and sign the log. How would LCP handle this?
On one occasion, this was done before the date of publication. Now what?
Much as I would like a true FTF record (as opposed to FDF) and points award, some cachers seem determined to make it impossible. I think DGP learned this the hard way.

Re: FTF lists
There is a minor problem with the awarding of FDF points that I just noticed. The cache reviewer for my region is GeoDesertTiger. He is stationed in Korea, on the the other side of the international date line. As a result, now and then a cache gets published on one date and the date of the first find is the previous day. Since finds that come before the publication date get ignored when calculating the FDF points, there are a few instances where the "time warp" results in a bit of injustice. At the moment, there is only one cache where my stats and points are adversely affected : GC3QG6J - LCP page : GC3QG6J
It is never going to be a very lonely cache so I'm not really concerned about it, but there may come another cache where I would be dismayed at the loss of points.

Re: FTF lists
I had not payed attention to this problem. I have several the Geodeserttiger published so now its time to go take a look at mine.

Re: FTF lists
Just browsing caches near a potential camp site and ran across this one:
http://coord.info/GC28CTJ
28 finds ... but 15 are before the published date ... this raised a lot of questions in my mind:
- Are all 15 excluded from the FDF and LC points calculations?
- Would the 16th finder actually get the FDF points in this case?
- Does this cache show as a find for the 15 that found it before it was published?
EDIT: Well for some reason I did not think of actually looking at the cache on LC.com ... or I would have see all the answers:
1. Excluded from the FDF but not the LC points
2. Yup
3. Yup
I suppose this is the best way to handle it ... just kind of a weird case regarding the FDF points when there is an event before the publishing I guess.
