Site Update January 2, 2024

Post by Corfman Clan »

Hi,

I have just updated LonelyCache. The changes are:
  • Rearranged the top of the Geocache page to be more space effective.
  • Updated the paging controls to be icon images instead of plain characters. These are used in the Leaderboards, among other places.
  • Reworked the What if subscriber special. It never worked that well and was broken. It should work much better now, though it still may be a long operation that takes many seconds to complete.
  • Subscribers are now able to add a cache to a list. This was in the previous updated but I forgot to mention it.
  • For subscribers, the Geocache page was updated to show the cache's D/T rating, container size, and number of favorites.
Enjoy,
Russell

I really like the new look of the cache presentation. Having the logs right there allows us to stay on site instead of hopping to GC.com. Thx.
I can see the D/T ratings, FP's, and container size on my found caches only; maybe that's what was intended?

No, that was a mistake that has now been corrected.

Yes, I really like having the logs and their images available within LonelyCache too. I tend not to hop over to GC.com nearly as much as I used to. LonelyCache only keeps track of finds, so currently, only the text for found logs is retrieved. I suppose I could pull in all logs too. Would that be something you would like/prefer?
