March 5 Geocaching.com Live API Down Time

Post by Corfman Clan »

Tuesday March 5 at 8 PM PST, the Geocaching.com Live API will be taken off line for up to five hours. During this time, Lonely Cache will not be able to access Geocaching.com. This will affect LonelyCache being able to retrieve your Avatar and update geocaches you have found. There may also be slowdowns for you when LonelyCache attempts to access the API on your behalf. During this time, it may be best for you to not be logged in while visiting LonelyCache.

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened there. I turned off the background jobs that run during most of the outage. I turned them back on before I went to bed but I'm not sure they actually started back up. At any rate, I reset the time for the stats to be updated to tomorrow morning at 4:00 AM eastern time and bounced the system. Hopefully things are back on track now.
