Happy New Year - What's in your resolve?

Post by Corfman Clan »

Happy New Year everyone!

Looking back, this has been quite a year. It was just before Christmas, 2011 that I first started investigating whether to work on a DGP replacement. Well, with your support and help, Redfist and I pulled it off. I'm actually very happy with how the site is running now. There are always more things to do to improve it but the bulk of what we wanted to do is now functional.

So what's coming in 2013? I know I'd like to get out and find some lonelier caches than I was able to this year. I'd really like to make Arizona Ranger Team's Ranger Alpha work to keep his lead in the Arizona standings. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to gain on him, if any, but I'll give it a shot. I really need to get my dirt bike fixed...

For LonelyCache, I want to get some sort of revenue stream going. Not much, just to cover any operating costs that arise. I'm in the process of setting up a LLC. Once that's done, then work can start on setting a store front up, etc. We really wanted to get all this done for Christmas but there was just too much to do to get it going. I also want to add a way to see who is rocking the standings. Right now it's easy to see how individual geocachers are doing, but there's no way to see who the top point gainers are. I'd also like to set up some sort of annual competition. Who were the top point gainers for the past year? Actually, I wouldn't mind snap shotting that for 2012 too. If so, we'll probably have to do that January 7 or so, so get your 2012 finds logged. :o

:?: So what do you have planned for 2013? :?:

Happy New Year to you, too!! And thanks for all you and Redfist have done for this site. My only resolve is to to see that all of the old DGP regions are added to this site. :P Especially CA.

For me, I want to finish off some calendar challenges and then stop paying attention to calendar challenges for a while. :D

I want to go find a lot of the puzzles that I've solved. That means visiting other parts of AZ. It'll be nice to do more around the state.

I want to finish the Jasmer Challenge this year. I have the first 3 months done, the hardest month left for me is August 2000. I sense a trip to Salt Lake City coming up soon!

That's about it from a caching perspective, most of my other hopes lie elsewhere in my life.

I had a feeling this would come back to haunt me. That Ranger Alpha guy is pretty tenacious when he sets his mind to something and I think the above may have backfired on me. Today I lost my top finder ranking for Cactusart Kids to Arizona Ranger Team. Dang, just dang
