Mark Posts as Read

When the important stuff gets done, I'd like to request a method for marking posts as read without actually having to... , you know..., read them. I realize the admins have to read everything, and it's not as though there's a huge volume of posts here (yet), but sometimes there's a thread that for whatever reason isn't of interest to me. I have to at least open the last page of the thread to get it off my "Unread Posts" filter and I'm too lazy to want to do that.

If this feature or something similar is already implemented and I'm just too dumb to be able to locate it, would someone please be so kind as to point me to it? And for my sake you should probably type its location very slowly. Thanks.

When the list of topics is showing, at the upper right by the page number there is a link to Mark Topics Read.

I think that should do it ... Although you may have to do it in each group.

Ah.

But that option doesn't seem to appear on the View Unread Posts link. And I think that's the only only link I've used in the brief history of this forum. I guess I should have looked around at more of the view options, though View Unread Posts seemed an ideal way for me to read the forum.

So I guess I need to rephrase my original request: I'd now like to request the "Mark as Read" capability appear on View Unread Posts as well. Thanks.

Just click up one level and hit the other link.

Pretty sure the links are part of a set for a generic forum and they are not adjustable by the LC admin.
