Region Names in CO

Post by Tahosa »

When I look at the http://www.lonelycache.com/RegionPage.aspx?rgn=33 which is in No. Co. I think that area should be renamed due to the devastation in the area caused by the High Park Fire. A very large area is shut down to caching until 2013. So my suggestion is call this area the High Park Region. I do believe that a lot of cachers up there would appreciate this. Thanks

On second thought the region could be called Cache la Poudre because of the vast area that caches are along this water course.

The regions and their names are from the Deepsouthwest Geocaching Project, or DGP and have been defined for at least a couple years now. In that respect, I do not envision them changing.

As for the New Belgium region, there was a lively discussion about it on the DGP forum Feb 10, 2010. I'm not sure if you can see the DGP forum, but this is it: http://dgpstats.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1437#1437

Thanks for the suggestions, it is interesting to see them.
