Re: Weeding out arm chair finds
There's another one from New Mexico called Kingbee. I've caught him in the act, because several of his logs could quickly be confirmed as bogus.

Re: Arizona State Land Managers?
Last week the governor reversed the decision about State Trust lands. Groundspeaks official position is that all "archived" caches are removed, but they aren't going to check if an old cache is submitted as a new one (this from a reviewer from several years ago).

Found New Years Nipper http://coord.info/GC22JGT which hadn't been found since 2014. It was in bad shape and the owner appears MIA I had a replacement locknlock: not as good as an ammocan but should last for at least 5 years.

Re: FOUND IT? POST IT!
Yesterday I braved the summer heat and found a dozen caches. The main goal was to find the final for multi-cache Beeline Finale , last found about two and a half years ago on 12/30/2011. I thought I took along plenty of fluids: 3 liter camelback, 3 qt Nalgenes, 1 pt Nalgene, 2 20 oz gatorades, and ...

I wasn't aware that there were any caches allowed in wilderness areas.rambrush wrote:So far I've lost 12 of my caches. BLM is also removing caches in wilderness areas.so that's next shoe to drop.

Re: Arizona State Land Managers?
I'm lucky to live miles away from any state trust land so haven't felt near the effect of those in more urban areas. Still, seeing good caches disappear is never a good thing. Does anyone have any information on why the ASLD decided to do this. I've heard "rumors" that it was instigated by...

Found two yesterday

Neither has been logged online for a year, but more recent logs were found in the caches themselves

Re: The Expansion Conundrum
I would like to add California. Since adding such a populated state may double the total number of caches, I suggest adding the rural states first (east of LA/bay area).

Re: How things are updating...
I've been noticing that newly found caches are no longer updating when I log into the site, but take until the next day. Is this a consequence of the changes with groundspeak?

Found Leprechaun Luck today. http://coord.info/GC3EN42
I've been surprised there weren't more finders, except that it took me 18 months to solve.
Probably my last big find north of Payson until winter is over.

Four finds of note recently. First, I finally had enough qualifying caches to post a find on Traditional Challenge Cache 200 http://coord.info/GC2KDHT. I had accidently deleted my bookmark list so this one took alot of time. Second, went out for the Kinder Crossing caches. These have been on the rad...

I found two today which I'm going to brag about. While they were both found in May, the previous find before that was 2011: they are averaging about one find a year.

 I just did the highline from Washington Park to Geronimo, and passed several streams with water which surprised me. Were they not flowing while you hiked? They were all east of the section where the two caches that are no longer on the Highline were located There was water on the east half...

Re: It's still to dang quiet around here...
After starting the year out slow caching wise, I've finally gotten out and have been finding a bunch of caches. Yesterday Redfist and I had a great day heading to Tucson, AZ and finding 110 :?: caches! That was a fun and crazy day. My big adventure though, was going on a three day backpacking trip ...

Log in Woes
For some reason, even though I check the box to stay logged in, I get logged out every 2-3 days. This is unique to LCP, because other sites such as yahoo and geocaching leave me logged in for several weeks. Is there something I can do to fix this?
