Just wondering. Would it be impossible to make a web based challenge checker for lonely caches here? would it be allowed? I realize it would only be in the mountain west.
Someone on the Project GC site said that their system would not work. Just kinda thinking out loud.

Re: Site Update Jan. 18, 2013
It does not effect you as the site owner much. Just people who link. Everyone knows that you cannot control others and what they do. It just effects people that want to link back to lonelycache.com. Reviewers will have to ask people to remove links to the site. Direct mentions, web links, or the poi...

Re: Site Update Jan. 18, 2013
A note about the advertisements. Advertising is one of the steps that make a site commercial in the eyes of Groundspeak. Once they are added, they will not allow links from the geocaching web pages, or mention of the site on the pages. (the dgp point links, links to the site etc.) There is nothing ...

Re: wishes
Another thing I thought of..
On the main page you have the tables
"View Statistics For"
I would put that on the base of every county and state page. Then people do not have to go back to the main page to navigate to another.

Re: wishes
The old DGP site showed the calculation for the cache. I think it helped explain to new users how the points are calculated. Current ChallengePoints points awarded to each cache finder cCPs = aCPs / Number of finders cCPs = 726 / 3 cCPs = 241.8 That one addition would answer a number of questions ab...

Notable Finds
This is in relation to this page. http://lonelycacheproject.com/RecentFinds.aspx?rgn=6 It would be nice to have a sort by date, or have another page that shows the recent ones. It is something that would draw me back to the site daily, or every few days to see what the recent finds were. Currently I...

Re: Recent ChallengePoint Activity
It kept record of your score a month ago, and six months ago, then that score gave your change in that time frame.

Re: Point System ideas
100/year simple, easy to describe, people understand, and there is no real big reason to change it.
Re: Regions
I did not like the DGP regions at all. Many counties here are broken down by watersheds/rivers. That seems to make more sense. I cache on this side of the mountian, not on the other. I am not that fond of Delorme or USGS, but I do like them better than the idea of the old areas. It would be easy to ...
