When I try to run the new macro I get the following error: "Error: A valid Geocaching User Id is required. This service is only offered to active LonelyCache users."
I've made sure to sign in to Lonelycache.com. Maybe I need to go find some caches to become active?

Same was happening to me. When I logged in it shows that I am logged in but I'm unable to click my name in the upper right to go to my statistics page. When viewing lists of caches my found caches were no longer highlighted. I went into my profile and renewed the authorization to geocaching.com and ...

My assumption is that the backcountry score is being calculated by averaging the top 20 highest point cache.
